Sturmer Hall Wedding Photographer | Suffolk Wedding Photographer | Nicola and Ashley
What an honour it was to be asked to photograph Nicola and Ashley’s beautiful outdoor natural wedding at Sturmer Hall. Sturmer Hall is located on the border of Cambridgeshire near Haverhill in Sturmer, Suffolk. Living in Abington myself, Sturmer Hall was just a stone’s throw away from my village Abington, making this a brilliant venue for me to travel to for a wedding photoshoot.
This was my first wedding at Sturmer Hall. A beautiful white house presented at the end of a long gravel drive with a huge lawn in front. I arrived at the wedding venue in the morning, with bright sunshine and clear skies. Some rain was forecast around 6pm so the ceremony was definitely going to be outside. the ceremony took place in the Rose Garden, which was ideal for a sunny day, as the Bridge and Groom were perfectly located under a small wooden structure which blocked out the direct sunlight perfectly.
With guests arriving from London, Sawston, Cambridge, and Clacton, the wedding started building a beautiful atmosphere. Nicola and Ashley were really laid back and wanted a really natural easy-going wedding. There was a saxophone being played through the Rose Garden as Nicola walked down the aisle which set the scene beautifully.
The party began straight from the off at the reception, with all the guests jumping straight on the dance floor at 2pm! The guests were so much fun and party continued all the way through until midnight. Emotional speeches, epic dancing, saxophone player/singer, DJ, blackjack and roulette, a photo booth, this was definitely a wedding to remember!
Thank you to both Nicola and Ashley for inviting me to photograph your wedding day at Sturmer Hall, and also thank you to the lovely staff at Sturmer Hall who looked after all the guests and suppliers!
